Marriage License Information

Each county may have slightly different requirements, but here are general guidelines for the areas served:

Florida Counties (Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, Bay)

  • Both parties must apply for a marriage license
  • Valid photo ID required
  • Waiting period may apply for Florida residents (can be waived with premarital course)
  • License typically valid for 60 days

Alabama Counties (Baldwin, Escambia, Mobile)

  • Marriage certificate forms are submitted (no traditional ceremony required by state)
  • Notarization required
  • Forms must be filed with probate court
